The International Taste Institute of Brussels has certified that the tastiest octopus is found in Palencia and is made by the Palencia company Merpacífico, which has been recognized with the Superior Taste award with the highest score, three stars, in a blind tasting.

The octopus made by Merpacífico, in the Palencia industrial estate, has obtained a score of 91.3 out of 100, the highest in the contest, achieving the three stars awarded by this competition, as reported by the Palencia company this Wednesday.

The jury was made up of more than 200 world-renowned chefs and sommeliers recognized by institutions such as the Michelin Guide, Repsol Guide and Gault & Millau, who carried out a blind tasting following an objective methodology based on the 5 criteria of sensory analysis. international hedonic (visual, olfactory, gustatory, final sensation and texture).

This recognition has been granted by the International Taste Institute through a world-leading certificate in the food industry that provides the brand with a seal of quality and prestige.
